This thing is HUGE!
The infinity 5 is really a monster in size and performance!
This bulky beast includes 10 heat pipes (5 on each side) and a powerfull 120mm Fan.
A nicely polished copper base ensures optimum heat transfer through the heat pipes and aluminum fins.
Easy "snap on" installation mechanism.
I’m using it with my overclocked Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 3.2Ghz (from a stock 2.66ghz) and this beauty keeps it cool under full load.
Just make sure you have a roomy Full tower case (or a case thats more than 8" wide)
I had to upgrade to a bigger case, because in my other Medium tower case, I was not able to close the side panel while this baby was installed.

My cpu is a intel E6700 and mainboard is a gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 rev.3.3.Through the bios temperature for intels cpu fan showed around 40’C while scythe infinity showed around 31’C and up a little.I have not over clocked the cpu either before or after the installation of the Scythe.Also with the gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 rev.3.3 mainboard their is a copper metal sheet under the cpu which stops other third party fans from being used,which makes Scythe infinity’s similar installation to a native intels fan for cpu’s ideal to use.Last but not least, you have to watch out if you have big fingers because the scythe is hard to install.So I would advise installing the scythe on the mainboard before installing the mainboard into the PC case itself.

CONS: Size Skythe should think about something a little smaller but just as effective.

This is great cooling, but if you do not mind taking out your motherboard out of the tower just to assemble this fan then good for you..If your hands/fingers are big do not attempt to install.
