... This is a huge undertaking, and it is not cheap. The results really give your computer and desktop a very unique appearance. I have been researching this mod for some time, and looking at how other people have accomplished the same task. None that I looked at, took the approach I have taken. Virtually all have required you to physically open your computer case and run a power connection from the inside of your computer to the out side of your computer. While there are advantages to this, I did not want a mod that required that. With this mod I will not open my computer case. I will use a 5V source that is easily available on the back of the computer. I will create a method to actually regulate the lighting quality and even turn it off, as well as provide additional functionality. The end result will be both pleasing, and provide a unique functionality for your desktop. I want to remind you here, that this is a very serious mod. You will be building an electrical device that you will attach to your computer. You will have to use power tools that can seriously hurt you. If you do this, don’t rush. Take your time.
