Corporations are implementing social networks into their internal processes to foster better communication and collaboration. I guess that seeing the market for social networking software triple last year got their attention. The corporation I work for has been using social networking for a while and it’s a great way to find out where the buzz is, especially since I work for a huge multinational company.



"These communities are extremely good at prioritizing information," Happe said. "It’s like flash mob. If a community sees an idea and thinks it’s really exciting and everybody starts participating in it, the company can recognize that this is something that maybe they should spend a few resources investigating.
