Despite the fact that piracy is on the rise everywhere else, the rate of software piracy in the UK is actually down. Don’t get too excited, it only dropped 1% down to 26% but it is far ahead of the 38% global rate. Oddly enough, the US has the lowest rate at 20%.



The fall comes against a decline in software piracy in a majority of the 108 nations surveyed for the report. The BSA says the fall in UK piracy is down to its increased educational efforts and programs that tackle local hotspots of pirate activity.
