You Need A PWM Fan

Fine product. I have several Thermalrights. Currently, the Intel specs and the factory Intel CPU cooler come with the newer 4 pin fan which feature PWM (pulse width modulation) for speed and noise control via the main board cmos.
Just about every review I read and every set up I see don’t use this type of fan, they use the 3 pin which means, full speed 100% of the time. Check out the Intel fan before you select the type of fan you use with this heatsink, it will have 4 pins, not 3. The variable speed control works great and provides quiet cooling until the cpu begins to be taxed then, the system ramps up the fan speeds as the cpu demands increase.
